Genesee Life The Mixtape
This mixtape has been long awaited in the Western New York area by many hip-hop fans. It features production by some very notable names to have made their way out of the trenches to help establish Rochester, NY as a strong contributor to the hip-hop scene, nation-wide.
We haven’t gotten the complete track listing yet, but look for tracks from Thievin Stephen, Harvey Who? & DJ Ease, Soul Khan, Moon Roc, Emilio Rojas, Laz Green, Nikal Fieldz, Ric Rude, Filthy Funk, Hassaan Mackey, Pounds, Bushido Garvey, Coach Parsells, Contac, ID, Gillateen, D-Rock, M Dot Coop, Reece Q, Moses, Destroy, Kae B and more…
It’s a huge line-up from a huge, hip-hop city. Many of these artists are, and have been making a great amount of noise for themselves as of late. Including, Thievin’ Stephen, who as many of you know, has a track on Homeboy Sandman’s commercial debut album, ‘The Good Sun‘.
‘Calm Tornado‘ (‘The Good Sun’ 2010 High Water Music/Produced by Thievin’ Stephen), track 12 on the album, hit the Hot97 airwaves not long after the release party at SOBs in Manhattan on June 1, 2010. Shout outs to Peter Rosenberg for holding Thievin Stephen down on that and also for supporting Homeboy Sandman since day one.
